I think them beeing great players defines a part of the tone. The picking is machine-like in precision
Sounds a LOT like Monuments to me tone-wise:

And seeing as he has a picture of Browne from Monuments (and Fell Silent) in his pictures section I'm assuming they know eachother. I know Browne plays an ENGL Invader, and this sound relatively Invader-ish to me...
Agreed, though at least he doesn't have those stupid gigantic guaged ears!
That rules me out ever wanting an Invader if this is the typical tone you get from one.
Is this really considered to be good guitar tone? Take out the drums & bass and I imagine it's a thin, fizzy, midrangey sound.
Not by me, it sounds shitty and nasty.
