Silly things that make you irrationately/unproportionately annoyed or upset

Quick searches show that different style guides believe different things, so it would seem there is no set rule.

Math has its own rules, English you can do whatever you want.

edit: Actually it would seem that the "best" way to do it is to avoid nested parentheses altogether, as it's completely unnecessary. That would be why these guides don't deal with it.

Pretty sure I learned parentheses on the outside and brackets on the inside as well. Like the parenthesis is the mother (parent? heh) and the bracket is the child of the parenthesis being brought in to help out in the situation.

Best I can do, I found this

3. To replace parentheses within parentheses:
Ex. Nancy noticed that her daughter, Tabatha, tends to omit “s” sounds while speaking.
Concerned that Tabatha may need special speech assistance, Nancy consulted with the
elementary school. (The school’s speech-language pathologist [SLP] will need to meet with
both Nancy and Tabatha.)
*Notice that the writer places the acronym for speech-language pathologist in brackets within the parentheses.

When you put 10 euros in the cigarette machine and it only lets you make a single choice before spitting out your change, then you have to put the change in all over again and make another choice.

When someone uses all three washing machines in my apartment building at the same time. ALL NIGHT LONG.

People looking over your shoulder while you're on the computer. And those who are waiting for me to finish on the computer, and creep up real close behind me so they get the comp after I leave.

This is, and was one of my biggest things to upset me over the years.

Now that I don't have to share the PC anymore, I don't have the get off, gargoyle anymore. Thinking about it makes me want to punch a baby though. I'm on it an hour and they are having PC withdraws, so lets annoy me into getting up under duress.

The looking over my shoulder thing I still get from time to time. :bah:
