Similarities between Gorod and BTBAM

Gorod is more straight forward than btbam. hence the distinction in genres.

No love for whitechapel?

Must be because they look like jocks

BTBAM's Alaska album is amazing and one of my favorites of the previous decade. I haven't really listened to anything by them. I'm actually listening to Gorod for the first time right now, and I'm thinking that they sound more like Arsis with deep growled vocals, or perhaps a more easier listening version of Decrepit Birth.
Also, since Mort brought it up, I've been trying to get into The Red In The Sky Is Ours by At The Gates, and I guess I'm just not getting it. There are some cool riffs, but the drumming is really sloppy sounding to me, along with the vocals.

What the drummer is going for is fucking cool, but I fear that he fails to deliver on that album. Also, Lindberg is and always has been mediocre at best.

I think on that album he fits in with vocalists like Varg who don't sound 'typically good' but they fit the album they're on perfectly.
