sin city vs batman

Batman. Definitely Batman. I'd like to know if anyone noticed this one weird thing, but I don't want to spoil it for others...

Better than Spiderman, Superman, Hellboy and the Original Batman.

heheh... Have you seen Sin City yet?

THAT is the best COMIC book film.

Batman Begins is the best comic adapted to film, film.

Don't get me wrong Sin City was Great, I think the style, or look of the film often overwhelmed aspects of the story though.

is this even a comic book adaptation? yes it's based on a comic book character, but the events predate anything that occurs in the original comics, and even twists the stories to fit in some silly villains that were chosen just because they haven't been done in a movie yet. It's more or less trying to build on the film franchise than that of the comic books.

I havn't seen Batman Begins yet... But it just can't be better than Sin City. Sin City had awesome wit, awesome characters and truly disturbing violence along with a most excellent narrative. Leaving the cinema all people were talking about is how 'that' is the film of this millenium, and has surpassed fightclub in its contemporary ingenius. So far Batman looks turd from the adverts. "Does it come in black" He says trying not to crack up. Why the fuck is batman acting like James bond? There's no room for that sort of wit. He's supposed to be all manic depressant and shit. Give me "I don't know about you but Im having a ball" over that any day.

Still, Im off to see it tomorrow, and I will judge it honestly. I'm looking forward to it, as it has been so insanely hyped up that it just has to meet my expectations... which are very very low so far.

I admit, Christopher Nolan is the man... But Memento was good because it had a great story. This Batman film is just a hollywood prequel. What can Nolan do to it? I have no doubt this will show Nolan to be a puppet and not an auteur.

Actually, this movie is closer to the storyline of the comics than any Batman movie prior to it.
I didn't even think there even was a comic about batmans beginning. Maybe a graphic novel fanfiction thing, but no. I'd say this only take elements from the comic and has nothing to do with any of the original series of plots. It's just the only slightly original film concept they could come up with to explore without it being another 'Batman and robin' or 'Batman forever' or whatever the shit those made for skyone movies were.

Someone seems pretty down on a movie that they haven't even seen yet. :tickled:

You should read more comics before criticizing.
