I just read some of the comments over at gearslutz in the VCC thread. Oh boy. I feel bad for Steve. Here he is trying to do us a favor and the members there are all upset and not only pissed, they're slamming our forum! I'll admit that I was disappointed being a SSD platinum owner on day 1, then see some of the crazy specials that went on after I purchased his product. But I got over it. This is one of the big reasons I've waited for some kind of special for the FG-X. I knew a deal would probably be coming eventually, and I enjoyed reading all the threads where Slate and forum members here were helping to iron out issues with it. This group buy looked like a perfect opportunity to grab the FG-X. It's just too bad that the good people at Gearslutz now feel as if Slate is putting us before them. I'm sure Slate will do something special for them but it's a different forum with a much larger user base than ours.
Anyway, I want to thank Steve for his support to our "small" community and his continued undying support for his user base. The thing I love about Steve is that he's not happy until his products are the best they can be and his customers are satisfied. That's what matters most to me, whether or not I miss out on a special or group buy. Again, thank you Steve!

I read up a bit on what all the fuss was about on the GS Forum. Granted I have more posts on that thread (mostly classifieds), I do a fair amount of reading on both. I always wonder who those people are that can spend all their time bitching about anything they can instead of doing what they should be doing, and working on the chops.

It's a bit like watching an entire classroom worth of pre-schoolers throwing hunger tantrums with no end. Have to really take that place in moderation.
Sorry to hear that everyone is directing the tantrums at Steven once again. The entitlement complex is immense. He's been regularly posting updates of these plug-ins for months now, bending over backwards to keep posting A/B shoot-outs and getting people direct, personal assistance. Somehow as a result of that they feel like they have some loyalty entitlement just for following his threads. It's like someone dropped a can of menopause in the water supply over there just to see what would happen
Anyway, I hope you guys that are part of the group buy enjoy the plug-in when you get it.

Hi guys. No worries about GS. There are some great pros there who are very talented, and then there are some guys who for some odd reason, suspect that I have some crazy agenda. If bashing me or my company helps aid their paranoia, so be it. We usually laugh about it when it gets that ridiculous.
From day one, I've just wanted people to be happy and make good music with quality tools. But I think you all know that, all these years later.
