I don't think there's a problem, you pay for it, download it and then transfer the licence to your iLok when you have it.

Yup, I think that's right. You can create an ilok account without having an ilok device, then you buy it later and download the licenses from the account

In my case for example I use free plugins, or some I payed for but don't need iLok, and also I don't work that much, have my home studio to record my bands and some friends, so I didn't need an iLok 'till now

ive havent been doing this whole mixing thing very long and i never really leave my room, (for working) it has just so happened that ive never used VST that required one untill now, i knew i would eventually though,

sure ill admit a year or two ago starting out i used craked illegal shit, but i have stopped (and gotten rid of what i stole) and my set ups legit now , if i want to be taken seriously, i have to do shit for real, feels better owning something for real anyway knowing ive earned that money to buy what i needed,

but i digress, just havent needed one untill this moment in time

It doesnt matter!! If you buy and dont have an iLok just register the plugin with a new account and when you buy one use it. Simple.

Same here.
Just mainly a hobby for me, record my own shit and some demo shit for mates, so never needed an iLok.
But is cool to know I don't need one right now to have FG-X

Where $30? I know I need one, but I only see $40 on the usual sites.

30 dollars US would probably mean like double that here in Aus anyway....
