Testament is the best.
Whoever said Megadeth and Metallica are more melodic obviously has not heard that much Testament material. Listen to the entire new order album, half of the songs start off completely melodic, and it sounds great as well. If that's not enough for you..listen to songs like the legacy, return to serenity, or trail of tears.
Metallica has 4 metal masterpieces, but that's it...Testament are still releasing albums like the Gathering that are nearly as good as their earlier stuff. And as for Slayer, there newer stuff is good, but not great. I like Megadeth a lot, but Testament is still better.

Testament is the only band on this poll that has stayed true to their roots. I haven't seen Testament do a wanna be punk album (slayer) , or write love songs (metallica) , or write songs about jumping out of air planes (megadeth)

i agree they havent produced the best albums of late
but some of the all time best albums ever come from these 2 bands
1 seasons in the abyss, without doubt the greatest album of all time
