How do you guys slip edit doubled or quad tracked guitars? Do you edit them one at a time or together? If you double a track and them edit one and then edit the other couldnt it make it sound weird? Could anyone explain in detail how to do it?

when you are aligning the tracks do you keep the snap button off and just eye it. If you do it by eye, are you able to get it really close? It seems hard to get it perfect. Do you find guitars are harder to do than drums?

i've started to experiment with it and I have a hard time finding the transient. On one track i'll grab a transient and the other track i'll grab one but it's not always at the exact spot. For example, one track i'll maybe grab slightly before the transient and the other, slightly after or something. This is or course zoomed in a lot but how do you guys slip the audio at the same spot relative to the guitar track?

It's usually pretty clear if you're looking at the DI signal. If you don't have the DI then you can't rely on how the edit looks as much.
Grid should be on and visible through or over items. Auto-crossfade on, 3-5ms. Snap off.

Edit a bar or two, then listen. adjust if necessary.

how do you know those are the transients? for example on the second row first hit, how do you know that's the spot opposed to the very first one to the left?

Wikipedia: "a transient is a high amplitude, short-duration sound at the beginning of a waveform that occurs in phenomena such as musical sounds, noises or speech."
