I don't know if anyone will get anything out of this but I just got an SM7B and I wanted to see how it compared to my SM57 for vocals. I've been using the 57 as my main vocal mic for a while and it's worked pretty well but I wanted something different. The SM7B sounds much better to my ears, it's more open compared to the 57 but I think the 57 is still usable.
Anyone that already has both probably already knows the difference but for those who don't here's a quick example of me rambling, excuse the big plosive on the SM57 part:
