Yep I bought a new wind screen replacement from my local guitar store and replaced the old one which had been hit by a drummer some time ago. I just taped the old one on there and have been using the Mic still for like a year. Well now i replace the top and I went to use yesterday and its dead!
Now there is a little plastic round piece which I'm guessing is the capsule and that is loose and fell out when i took off the old screen. I'M guessing this has something to do with why it quit working, as all the wires and stuff are fine. When I put the new wind screen on i put the plastic (capsule) thing back on the Mic as it was but it just not working.
Any idea's on fixing this or should i just send to Shure for the 55.00 replacement?
I would like to save the 55.00 though if i can....
