Sneap's kick and leagal shit.

Lover of all boobage.
I am relativly new to this board (only been lurking for around a half a year). And love Andy's kick sample. However I was wondering what I needed to do to use it on a production that I intend to sell (so far it's just been used on home noodling). I don't wan't to do anything like that without asking.

I know of at least one locally big screamo release that Andy's kick sample was used on, by an engineer who didn't even know who Andy Sneap is...he just found the sample on the Drumagog site. I'm sure there are plenty more cases out there similar to this.

Haha, I think at the end of the day, it's up to the user/engineer to decide if they want to use somethnig that isn't their own. i've used Andy's samples in non release/ test mixes, but I'm not sure I'd be comfortable using it on a released CD. I prefer making my own samples, no-matter how crappy they are in comparisson.

Yeah, in all honesty I wouldn't feel too easy about using andy's samples in any release product that I would get paid for. To me that defeats half the purpose of my job.

Having said that, at times you just don't have a lot to work with, yet the band are expecting grand things. All one can do is rip and scrounge anything they can get their hands on and try to get a clean finished product off.

Sorry-my english is not so good,to understand all...
Summary-can i use Andy's drumsamples in commercial songs-or they are only for non-commercial use?

Yes.

Andy said that it is ok to use the samples for commercial use.
