Rumour has it that Tyr's tour of Aus had several gigs cancelled because the Sea Shepard requested it. Apparently the lead singer has been whaling, not sure if it's a regular thing or a once off, or what but the captain of the SS found out and managed to get the gigs at multiple venues cancelled. One or two have been moved to other venues and I don't know if SS own these clubs, but it's a weird thing to be cancelled for.

The End Of The Nightmare - Sylencer

I don't think anyone but the Japanese agree with whaling, but then I don't agree with the Sea Shepard and their ways which often border on illegal.
I've come across the SS twice in recent years, once in Perth when visiting the relos and again in Hobart last month on the cruise (although the ship wasn't in Hobart just the crew selling crap at the market). Merch for those guys is worst than most band merch and the land based crew all seem to want to be in your face and pushy.
