So I picked up Blooddrunk tonight. (Bodom newbie)

And put aside all of the bad reviews from various sites, I actually am fucking digging the album (About halfway in). And am wondering, will I like their older stuff, or will I like it better? I've only heard about a song or two on each of their albums.

I'm getting paid tomorrow, and will have $250+ spending cash on me easy... Will any of you nice people reccomend me an album or two?

Everyone's responses will be subjective to his/her own opinion. I'd recommend watching Bodom's live performances at Seoul 2001 and Tuska 2003. Both of which you can find on Youtube. They're sweet performances and will show you some sweet songs to check out, excluding Are You Dead Yet

Haha I didn't mean it like that. AYDY definitely has two or three songs on there that I really like. What I meant though was that Seoul '01 and Tuska '03 have a bunch of good songs, but AYDY hadn't come out yet so that album is excluded. And obviously Blooddrunk too.

I don't get all these people's dissings of AYDY, just cause the album is a tad different. Some of the best Bodom songs come from it, and if anyone forgets where LDB coes from it's THEIR problem. :hotjump:

You might want to hold off on getting Somwthing Wild, cause it's not really a "CoB album" in a full sense, so if you liked BD, SW might be not your piece of cake. Same goes for Hatebreeder, although it's a tad better than SW.

Yea Something Wild is unique and it has things to it you just can't miss and everything but overall it's sort of not in the same league.

Out of the 8 AYDY songs of course LDB, AYDY, IYF fucking rock but the rest are just not my taste or what I'm looking for from Bodom. PMIB is fucking ultra mind-blowing live, tho.

In an attempt to get back on topic, TS: You may very well like their older stuff (IMO it's more epic and original); really my only suggestion is to sample songs on YouTube. GL.
