So I picked up Blooddrunk tonight. (Bodom newbie)

After you've gotten Blooddrunk, the next step is to get Follow the Reaper, then Hatebreeder.

Maybe Something Wild and Are You Dead Yet, if you feel that you want to get more albums after that. HCDR is okay I guess, but its easily my least favorite. Way too happy-hoppy and upbeat for my liking, which you may not like if you thought Blooddrunk was awesome.

I got Follow the Reaper, Hatebreeder, Hatecreweathroll, and AYDY?. $60+tax on Bodom today.

Good job man, I wish I had that kind of money to spend freely ^____^ For now, I think your life is complete :kickass:

Tokyo Warhearts is a pretty boring live album IMO, cause there is barely any interaction with the public... But if you like Hatebreeder it might be worth it, they play that stuff dam fast live. I'd rather get the Chaos Ridden Years - but that's just my opinion.

Would love to hear your first impressions ^____^

I bought Follow The Reaper Deluxe Re-Release today with Original Hate Me Single version,Enchanced ETID video and Hellion cover and a nice looking jewel case.

Now i have every studio album+TW from Bodom....sweet. My collection is complete. I won't bother buying the singles.

Iono, had that stuff for ages, off my friend's bootleg CD :hotjump:

These guys are fucking awesome. I don't know why I never got into them before... Glad my buddies got me to go see them last month... The only thing that sucked was I had to sit though JFAC to see them.

Hatebreeder - I just bought Hatebreeder today, and it is an awesome cd , so far my favs are - Hatebreeder, Downfall, Towards Dead End and Silent Night Bodom Night. it's really a great cd now I need to find a place that sells more Bodom items...

Follow the Reaper - I went out and bought "Follow the Reaper" today, and... Wow. Children of Bodom are just incredible. It's the some of the best guitar work and definitely the best keyboard work I've ever heard, and who would've known that the two would work so well together?

Hatecrew Deathroll - I just picked up Hate Crew Deathroll and I love every song on it. My favs are...all of them. There aren't any I wouldn't include in my favs list because they all rule. I have a new band obsession.

AYDY? - I didn't like this album too much. I thought it had to mcu hof a nu-metal/metalcore fibe to it, but In your face & the oops i didt again cover was awesome.

Blooddrunk - My first Bodom album and I must say I like it a lot. True, it is not better than their earlier work but still an awesome album... And it shits all over AYDY?

In my humble opinion: Follow the reaper > Hatebreeder > Hatecrew Deathroll > Blooddrunk > AYDY?

Holy shit, I am loving this band. I need to find Something Wild tonight or tomorrow.

I've noticed a lot of people don't know what label them, and I would think that it's pretty obvious that it's because they're a mix of a few genres. Personally, I'd say that they sound like a power metal band with black metal vocals and some fairly light death metal lyrics, or at least something of that sort. Whatever the hell they are, I'm loving it.

The drummer of CoB is very underrated in my opinion, because he is usually shadowed underneath the awesome ability of Alexi and Janne (keyboard). He is actually quite talented, even though you can barely hear him at times

Yeah another Bodom addict !! welcome here !

If you still have enough money you need to buy Chaos Ridden Years DVD ! it's really cool and you can see how much adorable, fun and totally crazy they are !

Yeah, I saw a few clips of that DVD on youtube, and am going to pick it up. I believe it comes with a CD too? I'm not sure, though... Either way, i'm going to pick it up.

And I might even get a T-Shirt.

Sorry if I look like a poser/scene kid or something. This band is just too fucking badass to ignore. I will probably spend $100 on them by the weekend... Wish I could see them live again.

Yeah, they've always been very unique in their genre, which is the reason why I gave up trying to figure it out years ago. :D
You can't compare it to very many other bands.

Whoever said something wild is "not in the same league" as hatecrew, AYDY, or blooddrunk, bravo.

That is the most retarded thing i've heard in a long time.

Yeah, having your own opinions about the best album is cool and all, but to take a true classic and make the verdict that it is "not in the same league" is completely assinine.

What I interpreted out of "not in the same league" is that SW has a very different sound than the rest of the albums.I agree it is a true classic but I think its uniqueness from the other albums makes it a classic.

No you're not. They are cool, nice, crazy, talented and make great music...lol.

I was wondering If you'd like Stone, they're different than Bodom but I recommend them. You can actually hear Roope when he was a lead guitarist.
