So I've been listening to Load...

No idea about ANZAC celebrations here, I'm afraid. It's only 2:30pm in the afternoon, so I'll watch the news this evening and report on what I hear tomorrow :)

I believe there's some shindig at Westminster Abbey, and lots of Aussies and Kiwis make trips to Gallipoli for the dawn service there, so it doesn't go completely unnoticed. Of course, the English have no real reason to recognise it as far as I'm aware so most will probably just turn a blind eye to it (or won't even be aware of what day it is).

It was St George's Day yesterday - not sure what that's all about (nothing to do with the rugby league team, I'm sure).

Okay,
we all seem to agree here that there are two groups of Metallica fans(pre Black and after Black). My Question is would the old Metallica fans(me!) go and see them if they toured Australia now!...I think i probably would go but only if they gave a guarantee that at least half they songs would be pre-black but then again why should i spoil my memories of the early gigs by going along to hear only half a set(if that).....
actually i don't think i would go...man i really don't know the answer to this!

Hell yes, id go! They still kick ass live, most people would agree on that id say, but its only because of the sheer energy that the songs from the first 5 albums have, everything after that feels like filler in the setlist (watch Cunning Stunts to see that) compared to it.......

Ralphe: I think you would go when it came down to it :D Come on, just to hear them play Master Of Puppets is almost worth the price of entry :headbang:
