So when is Dan starting to record Second Sky?

Now that he's done with Bloodbath and recently Nightingale, can we expect Dan to do the long-promised Second Sky disc? I just read in a different thread that his intentions are to re-record some Unicorn tunes. Well I thought Second Sky was going to be something completely different from EVERYTHING else he's done before. Didn't Dan say so around the time Crimson II was released?

Anyway I'd like to know when the Second Sky disc might be finished. I'm glad I'll have the new Nightingale disc to satisfy me in the meantime.

I received an e-mail from Dan yesterday, and he said that Second Sky is about a year away from being completed. Some of the songs are over 10 years old, he also told me, so I would tend to believe some of them are Unicorn leftovers, which is fine by me.

Hi guys and girls.

I have already recorded the drums and the percussion with sessiondrummer extraordinarie Mr. Peter Damin. I will start adding real takes to the drumtakes after I finish mixing Novembers Doom, This Haven and recording and mixing the 10 year anniversary Nightingale album. Then the spring and summer be spent in the name Second Sky.

Dan, you said you were going to explore a sound similar to the "Eternal" track on Second Sky. Is that plan still valid?

I just wish that SS will be a damn good PROG release.
