So yeah, I finally got a new job.

I'll see how much of a raise I get after 6 months... free dental/health/eyes after 3 months. thats worth it

I dont know how old you are or your educational background - but any respectable company will give you benefits either upon hiring or after x# months. The point is that the system is raping you anally by only paying you less than $9.00. I don't know what the market is like in NJ though. Oh and did you get this job through a staffing agency or what?

and you be serious with this job, as it could lead to toehrs, with a good reference.....don't fuck up....

I'm now a Data Entry Specialist for Cops Monitoring (http://www.copsmonitoring.com/home.html). I work Monday to Friday, 12am - 8am.

I start out at $8.25/hr and get paid weekly. After 6 months, I will most likely get a raise. After 90 days, I get full dental, eyes, and health insurance. After a year, I get 13 paid vacation days.

Every summer, they hold a cool company picnic; every Christmas, they throw a fancy party; every year, they bring employees to a Broadway show up in NYC. There are AAA discounts.... If I'm on time every day (why the fuck wouldn't anybody be on time every day?), they give a $50 bonus every month. That's an extra $600 a year if I'm on time every day... among many other cool incentives

I start Tuesday, seeing that Monday is my orientation.

:kickass: .

thats awesome will, i don't get a raise after a year, but i make 13.50 starting so im not complaining, we get a $300 clothing allowence and grocerie cards at times, and when i went to vegas it was all paid for, rooms, food class, totalled up to be 6 grand, and i was paid for going to vegas, i also have full health insurance as well, including life.

keep that job man, its nice to have insurance. My job does a lot of those things to, with shows and food. It's very nice to have something like that.

$8.50 an hr   How do you survive ?
I have a hard time getting by on $50 an hr .
You must live at home with Mom and Dad still

You are a highly qualified typist

So you are saying you make $104,000 a year and are having a hard time? Unless you have serious debt, I find that hard to believe.

BTW, congrats Will. Working nights is different, but it frees you up to do cool shit during the day.

that's exactly why I'm taking this shift. It also gives me the ability to get out of work at 8am on Friday mornings, so if I have to travel somewhere, I can get there early for the weekend

I leave for my first day in 11 minutes

thats pretty cool, a night job with some good stuff and you get to keep your hair. the only problem i'd see with that is if it starts at 12 how would you go to weekday shows that end late etc? other than that congratulations.
