Soilwork

Yeah, I really like Soilwork. I heard there new album is being produced by the one and only Devin Townsend...should be very good stuff.

They're having website troubles or something so the only source of news is the main fansite ( http://www.soilwork.cjb.net ), but they're getting a new album done and it should be out sometime early next year. Said it's going to be heavier, more groove-oriented like Stalker, Needlefeast, Fatal Force, etc.. Keys might have a larger part, more clean vocals, a little more progressive, etc. Sounds like it'll be good. What I like about them is they have a unique sound by now, and they're not just another Arch Enemy/In Flames clone.

Well.. everyone's saying that Soilwork is the NWOSDM's future. I think that's bullshit.. and they aren't original at all as far as my opinion is concerned :) They are not bad.. they are pretty good actually.. but they've got nothing new to offer. Like Iced Earth.. but they are not good either :PP

Chainheart Machine and Steelbath Suicide are awesome albums (steelbath is amazing...!)

I don't like 'Predator' at all. It is like 'IN FLAMES II'.

The structure of the songs has followed in-flames' lead.

Intro, Verse, Chorus, Verse, Chorus, Bridge/Chorus, Solo, Chorus, Outtro.

Same thing, over and over again.

And although the clean singing is cool in 'structure divine' it gets old and monotonous REAL quick.
