Hey guys, just a little Solefald reminder: Our new album "In Harmonia Universali" is being released across Europe today. Be sure to check it out, and let me know what you think about it. Do we freak you out with weirdness, or have we gone totally straight and boring? C'mon people, give me the truth

i have promo and i must buy album now of course (maybe some day this fuckin' CM will do promo cd like Spinefarm?). for me it's back to roots ("Linear") with a little bit "Neonism" weird climate, but also there is some new elements like for example more hammond parts, choirs, saxophone (well, there isn't saxophone, but i don't know what is in english polish word for "klarnet" - hehe). really good album, maybe your the best, but i'm not suprised by "In Harmonia". i thought that album will be more weird, more crazy. i think it's just good old Solefald :) ohhh... and vocals parts is for sure yours best work. i have that same opinion about production - everything is clear :) perfect job, much better than boring "Pills" and much better than "Neonism" with poor production. but i still think that the best is "Linear", byt "In Harmonia" is near. maybe i'll change my mind after few weeks or months...

Ok, I just bought it...but I havent listened to it yet...it's still covered in plastic foil........hmmmm somehow the fact bothers me that it's more or less already a year old...it would've been cool if we could've had this album already last summer or something. well, now I'll hurry to copy it onto MiniDisc, put the CD where it's safe and listen to the album...

btw: I hope Avantgarde will re-release TLS someday, since it's the only Solefald album I don't own...I havent even heard a single song of that album...

Wow, my first impression is that's most likely the best Solefald album to date - not bad, not bad at all!! (and im not even through the first spin)

Eldzik: I don't think that Pills... is boring! It may be not as experimental as the other album's, but it's far from being boring. And the lyrics on Pills are unbelievable.

As we speak about the lyrics on Pills...: Lazare, can you tell me where Cornelius gets the inspiration for the stuff he writes??? My girlfriend worked as a porn-producer for two years and - believe it or not- the way the business is described in the lyrics of Pills is almost more or less really the way it is! Ok, it's somewhat exaggerated, but all in all it's true - exept the part "hate yourself like an XXX actor", because as far as my g/f told me, those actors tend to have a really big ego...at least the ones that she worked with. Cornelius seems to be a real 'insider'

Thanks, guys.

@Nico16: Avantgarde will re-release "TLS" very soon in the states. I'm sure you can get it through mail order. About inspiration for the lyrics of "Pills..." : I don't think Cornelius has ever been a part of the porn-business (actually I KNOW that he hasn't

) but he has a wicked pen, and is able to write lyrics based on many different environments and from many different angles. Don't know how he did the research for this one, though...

@Gaunerin: Glad you like the choir. Worked a lot on that part in the studio

@Eldzik: It's actually a saxophone, not a clarinet /forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

@Torquemada: No plans for live shows as of yet, but maybe in the future.... Who knows?

:D

hehe, well it's still too early for any in-depth thoughts from me but I certainly already prefer it over "pills...." (don't have the other albums though ;) )
The only song I can't stand is "Sonnenuntergang im Weltraum".....it's ok in the beginning but as the song passes on it is starting to annoy me. Sorry.

Apart from the musical content.....I really like the description of who did what on the album :D Excellent!

Hey, good to hear about that TLS re-release...I hope they won't charge me too many bucks because of the import.

Gaunerin: You don't like "Sonnenuntergang..."? It's my second fave of the new album...the atmosphere on that one is great, but my nr.1 fave so far is "Epictetus & irreversibility" ...

Great album!!! It strikes me as a more cohesive Neonism, with some Linear touches... definitely a huge step up from the disappointing Pills!

I can`t stop listening to this album, Christiania is awesome, I think it`s one of the best Solefald songs ever. I was thinking the other day you should release also your album on vinyl.

Very good cd Lars, but I think The Linear Scaffold is your best material to date. The new album is very good though, very fresh and new.

So are you going to play any more drums? :tickled: (i love carpathian forest "Black shining leather"!!)
