5 highly anticipated 2008 discs:

In fact, I can name 10 CDs that came out in the 90s alone that are superior to anything to have ever been released in the 80s.
My curiosity is piqued. Name ten CDs from the 90s which are better than the following (off the top of my head):

Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime
Metallica - Ride the Lightning
Megadeth - Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?
Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard Of Ozz
Slayer - Reign In Blood
Iron Maiden - Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
AC/DC - Back In Black
Dio - The Last In Line
Def Leppard - Pyromania

Sorry Primal Fears "New Religion" should be under 2007 as it was released BEFORE last ProgPower!

The new Zero Hour blows. When will they ever do a different pattern. They have been doing the same damned patterns and such since the Towers of Avarice, which is still the only disc a like from them, but they need to take some lessons and learn some new patterns to play. Boring and boring of the same repetitive crap.

Atheist - Unquestionable Presence
Cynic - Focus
Death - Individual Thought Patterns
Death - Human
Death - Symbolic
Edge Of Sanity - Crimson
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - F#A# Infinite
Gorguts - Obscura
Gorguts - The Erosion Of Sanity
Pestilence - Spheres

I guess this doesn't really beat several of the releases in your list in all fairness, but the 90s did have some amazing releases all the same.

Also, I'd encourage everyone here to check out Remembering Universe by Humanoid, it's a great disc: http://www.myspace.com/humanoidofficial

Dreaming Neon Black.

ps everyone knows Show No Mercy > Reign in Blood!

Not only that, but it was a terrible primal fear album. The last two have been major stinkers compared to Nucear Fire and Jaws of Death.

Are you nuts?! Granted Nuclear Fire and Jaws Of Death are great but "New Religion is frickin' great IMO. Wow, your comment caught me completely off guard.

I think you both may have missed the poster's original comment:

He's stating that are 10 CDs from the 90s that are better than anything from the 80s.
