can anyone reccommend some settings they know sound great for Hard Rock/Metal for the Mesa Rectifier Series heads?

thanks to anyone who can help : )

Something with the gain around noon to 1'o clock

Guitar being Used is a Gibson Les Paul

The following cabinets will be available

Marshall w/ Green Backs
Marshall w/ g12-H30's
Marshall w/ V30's
Mesa Standard w/ V30's

Try these as starting points:

Treble: 11 o'clock
Mids: 10-11 o'clock
Bass: 10 o'clock
Presence : 11 o'clock
Gain: 1 o'clock
Volume: 10-11 o'clock

Silicon Diodes
Bold Setting
Mordern (Red) Mode

I typically use EMG loaded Les Paul's, and run them into Mesa Recto (Traditional, Straight) 4X12 Cabs. I also use the older 2 channel Recto's, and I never use the FX Loop's. I always bypass them. Use those as starting points, and tweak them slightly to achieve the sound you want depending on what you're plugging into it. Keep the gain in the 12-1 o'clock region and let your pick attack do most of the work.
