Some new death metal riffs

Hey guys,

Haven't posted here in a while. Been busy with internship and all sorts of work, etc.

I wrote these riffs in the gaps of spare time I've had over the last week or so. I figure they'll be the intro and first section of a song, and a very long one at that!

Got some potential there for some groovey headbang worthy shit?

I haven't been able to record with one of my tube amps all week so these riffs were recorded with the Criminal model in gearbox. I dual tracked it and duplicated each track and had a different impulse on each track so it was kind of like double micing I guess. I used a GuitarHack JJ impulse and a Redwirez 121 impulse on a Mesa Oversized cab.

The riffs are a little sloppy and the editing is dodgey because I was basically recording it as I wrote it. There is no bass either.

What do you reckon?

I enjoyed the riffs, the clip was a little sloppy in places but the riffs are definately song worthy.

Thanks man. I'm still not 100% sure on how I want some of the riffs to go so there are some timing issues and stuff, but I think it's going to turn into a great song.
