Hey guys,

I posted some mixes here a week or two ago, going for a kind of DHIADW meets death metal type of tone for one of my band's songs.

I've taken it in a different direction now and as much as I like that style of tone, I've tried to go for something a little more death metal with a bit more edge and fizz to it.

Here is the original mix...

Here is the updated one...

I was talking about the impulses I used in the previous thread (for the first mix) but this newer one is using Redwirez impulses (Tab57 and MD421) for something a little different, on a recto cab.

Is this starting to become a useable mix?

Man, the closer I get to recording my band's album, the less feedback I get here. Does this mean it all sounds awesome?

Some feedback would honestly be greatly appreciated.

the kick sounds too obscure compared to the snare to my taste, guitar sounds clean, maybe i'm not too into the style or song, but you've got everything in place, seems like. Hard time trying to hear the bass though, but again, i've been frying my ears all night so... i dunno if i like the solo, but i like the prod on the different parts of the song, and i guess that was my whole point.

I think the first guitar tone works far better in the context of the music and the mix dylan.
I prefer the second tone, far dirtier and rawer, but in the MIX, it doesn't really work that well or convey the atmosphere of the music well enough.

get rid of the god damn worst s2.0 cymbal ever on the right
Otherwise it's really ok, I like both versions of the guitars

I've got a fair few AVATAR cymbals in there but I might put some more TMF ones in there and see how it goes. I thought the cymbals sounded pretty good but after listening more closely I think I could change them up a little.

Thanks.
