...message for winter 2006

...firstly the songwriting for the new album has been coming along, slowly as usual but gradually happening none the less. to my ears at least it sounds more up tempo then gathering. there is one song which is mainly blastbeats and some more mid-up tempo anthemic sounding tracks. the projection for going into the studio is april/may 2007 but time is most definitely not constant in primordial land so that's completely open to change. as much of a pain for metal blade as that will be.

...i can also say i will be doing all vocals for a new project with members of a band who you wont believe. total kult. its going to warp a few perceptions and crush all i can assure you. i cant reveal the name or the band yet but i will be able to very soon.

...there are a few other shows confirmed. the metal boat trip with desaster in april near koblenz and a festival in northern greece with th haunted and rotting christ and plans are afoot for a small tour in the US in summer 2007. We'll have too see what falls into place.

:kickass:

Inspired me to listen to some primordial now, I hope they come to Berlin sometime soon, I'd love to see them live.

And if the experiment thing is as cool as Void of Silence was then it's going to be amazing.

I've seen them many times when they toured with Ancient Rites
I love those guys! :kickass:

I hope they'll ever come to the states again!

I was at a couple of those shows too, Ludwigsburg and Essen. Which ones were you at? That is where I first met Wim and Maaike. Who I just saw last weekend. They are doing well and say hi!

I think they'll get over to the US this summer.

maybe that's the project with KK Warslut

i hope not... he makes it sound like people would be surprised about who it is. how surprising could it be if he'd already talked about it in interviews?

eh, maybe he thinks we aren't listening

Excellent news...not sure how I feel about it being more uptempo than TGW, I liked the doomier songs from that album the most, but of course they're blessed with a singer who could sound great doing just about anything. And a US show would undoubtedly lead to a night of drunken antics from the RC turnout...

God, what a band! I haven't heard The Gathering Wilderness in a while, burned out on it. I have 3 copies of that album. Wtf? DLP, cd/dvd and... promo?
