Not enough bands out there shredding as hard as Bodom did on the first 3 albums. I'd go as far as to say that this is even better.

Inb4 Joonas and atmosphere.

Must be a pain in the ass to play live :D

Personally I don't really find the music interesting. Sweeping and soloing throughout with growling on top.

They learned to use instruments in a fashion such as playing metal, but didn't learn how to write interesting music.

Yeah, the third song has nice moments.

Almost all tech death metal suffers from the same--just too much unmemorable wankery and a similar sound. All these kids can play their instruments like it's nothing, I just wish they went beyond just showing off, if you will, and did something also musically rich.

The only tech death that I enjoy is Psycroptic, they go beyond the standard formula.

It's apparent now that metal is 'dying.' Withering, at least. Can't say dying, because what's been created is already better than any other genre will ever create. No exciting newcomers in a long time. Unlike some other genres, there exists a need for metal. Maybe in the near future we'll have these elements in one-man-bands with some instruments recorded and some computerized... it's very hard to believe these melodic death band phenomenons will be born anymore in this age.

9,000 posts, never thought this day would come... that's basically a Lord of the Rings worth of psychotic Bodom rumination. Well, who knows if 10k will ever happen.

10K will happen. :)

Now for some math. Assuming the comment I just quoted is around the length of your average post on these forums, your 9 000 posts total to around 3 210 pages / 963 000 words. Even if you half that it's still 1 605 pages, more than enough for a book or two. Quite... impressive? :D

Shredding wise First Fragment is a cheap replacement for Necrophagist, I enjoyed their EP regardless.
