The only great solo on that album is Pulling Teeth in my opinion. As for Hammett's guitar-work, it only really ever seems to be minor pentatonic noodling/runs on KEA. Apart from The Four Horsemen of course which has that awesome bluesy solo during the breakdown part I mentioned earlier. I've never really enjoyed Hammett's guitar playing, I've always felt he & Lars held James back, but his lead breaks on the four albums post Kill 'Em All are of much better quality.
I do appreciate it, and Metallica as a whole. The tapping part of it is cool & I love how the band bursts through a wall of sound at that point. That solo 2 minutes into Phantom Lord is a masterpiece. Don't deny it.
Mechanix, These Boots, and Chosen Ones, pretty easy picks though I still really like Chosen Ones. The other five are basically perfect.
Yep, voted for Chosen Ones, Skull Beneath the Skin, Looking Down the Cross. There are Nancy Sinatra songs I like more than most Megadeth tracks too...
It's a good light-hearted listen imo. Same with Anarchy in the UK. Clearly it was never supposed to be taken seriously.
... yeah i wouldn't want a cover track on any album that falls under that categoryI don't want gay light-hearted shitty covers on a magnificent and intense thrash metal album. Pure simpism.
