I listen to music a freakin' lot. So occasionally I find something in a song that very very strongly reminds me of something that occurs in real life. And it annoys the HELL OUT OF ME OMGWTFBBQ#@%#$^%@

For instance: In the song Timeless Departure, somewhere in the murky depth of chaotic sound, I hear my mother calling my name. "PHIIIIIIIIIIIIIL!"

In "The Sleep of Restless Hours" by Disillusion I hear the freaking 'you've got mail' sound of Windows XP. I think this is a sign I spend too much time on the computer.

Anything similar for you folkses?

Certain songs make me think of weird thingies

Crimson - No more beating as one - the final boss in Jak II
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb - fettucini alfredo
Metallica - Battery - bright orange

Many times I've been listening to music and some sound hits that resembles my phone ringing. I get up in earnest and begin panicing, only to sit back down in relief and continue to watch my dog put his face in front of the fan which makes his beard blow around.

I've heard my mom call my name in a song before. Can't remember which one though. Might have been Skyfire. It was one of those real distinct sounds that I'd replay it and listen for it and it would still sound like my mom.

sometimes i think i hear a door creaking open/closed in certain songs... can't remember any in particular though...

Not sound, but taste association.

The first time I heard Children of Bodom, I was eating some very flavourful dip(the name escapes me, but you dip bread in it and eat it). Anyways now whenever I hear Children of Bodom the memory of that unique taste comes back to me consciously. I'm not joking either, its very odd. However it did taste good so no worries
