I don't hate you, neither anyone does up in my country but we do get many killings on the news. Mostly portuguese rich people are killed outside their own stores and houses. Nah, i don't think it is so.... yes i think we were rated the murder capitol of the world and rape capitol, but what pisses me off is that we are not any worse then countries like the U.S.A, but they don't make big things about shit that happens there. As soon as something happens here, its all over the news and its not that bad. It is bad, but not that bad.

A funny story was told to me the other day. One of my cousins went to England a few months ago, and she was there for about 2 days when she was mugged and robbed. The funny thing for me is, people go on about South Africa, she is 21, she has been living here for 21 years and nothing, go to england for 2 days and get mugged. Now, if that happend if a english person came here, it would have been headlines, but now that it happens there, no one knows about it. Now explain to me, how does that happen? Why make such a big fuss about other countries if yours is nothing better?

South Africa is not that bad. I am 25 years old and i haven't had any problems (touch wood). I think it is just what is meant to happen. If it has to happen to you when you go to other countiers, well then it is ment to be so. It is unlucky when that happens, because it puts people of to go to that country, but people have to realize that their countries are not perfect, there is crime anywhere in the world and you can't get away with it. I just don't know why we are labled to be so bad, and most people that come and visit this country fall inlove with and they don't want to leave.

I wanted to say the same thing! but I guess, it's not that people think that their countries are better, its sort of the publicity our countries get internationally...I too havent had any major problems (Thanks God)..and I agree with you on the "meant to be" part...but maybe its about the frequency of the incidents...they are more frequent and mediatic then in other countries..well lets hope it'll change soon..cheers
