Over the last couple of years I have grown fond of Euro Metal. For years I had ignored it, little did I know that there was a huge music scene in the European communities. When I opened this record by Space Odyssey, I couldn’t have told you what kind of music it was. I was astonished by the opening track "Despair the Pain." This is band that keeps the power/neoclassical metal genre alive. This is a powerful record. I wouldn’t say there’s a filler track within this 9 songs within. There’s some great rhythm shifts to delight the progressive metal heads, shredding to keep the guitar enthusiasts listening, brilliant keyboards arraignments & an outstanding vocal performance. I know nothing about this band. Space Odyssey have produced a strong record, with outstanding songs, marvelous musicianship. This is one of the most superior records that I have heard in months. Check them out. You’ll be hearing more of them in the years to come I’m sure of it.
