Speakers got wet what now? (afraid need advice)

Uhhh.
Hhahah Not really funny just stupidity.

You know the drill, after a show, barbecue outside drunk people, snow on the ground and a light mist....
Wheels on my cab sucked balls. Ha drunk dudes helping me with my gear hit a crack in the streeet, SLAM, face down in a puddle of slush speaker side down.

No biggie put it in the van went and grabbed some FOOD. Hahah/

it was mostly condensation

i live in scotland the weather is pritty terrible at the moment
the cab spent a night in the shed, when i took it back into the house
the cones of the speakers became extremely damp kinda soggy/flabby

then the heart attack kicked in!, im just scared after they dry they
might sound different.

its a decent cab its a VHT fat bottom.

if it was a mesa or engl i wouldnt have cared much haha

but yeah im definetly still shitting it here

If we had to store PA speakers outdoors, then stored them face down so the moisture will drip off the cones and cover them with (I have no idea what this is called in english, plastic canvas or something?). We use the same method with transporting backline cabinets, either face down or in a flightcase, but never face up.

Tarps - they're a godsend!
