Saw this tonight. JJ Abrams did not disappoint. It was quite well directed with a nice fast-paced action feel to it. Would recommend

i just watched it...
seriously, it's way better than I expected it to be...
It's like all action scenes of star wars put together in one 120 min long movie...
okay well... that was a quite exaggerated... but still awesome shit going on in there!
looking forward to start trek II

Wouldn't have hurt to leave that out, now would it?
Normally I might agree in the extent of cheesiness of it, but in this case time travel was utilized very well in successfully linking this rebooted Star Trek with the old, while simultaneously allowing it the freedom to be its own movie and have some originality.
