Stereo widening on guitar bus.. does this make sense?

M/S mixing techniques is one of the secrets the pro's have for their wide guitars. You can try brainworx new plug-in for that. The waves S1 imager works similarly but I think it's best left for the mastering engineer.

I know this is a bit off the topic, but do a lot of you guys use tape saturation on guitars? I find it really brings guitars and vox to life.

Besides M/S EQ'ing, i think not hard-panning is another way to get "a little centered yet stereo" guitar sound..pan it %85 in both sides..i've liked it more than hard-panning ;)
