Bingo. A lot of their stuff is in 4/4 (listen to the drums for the beat), even on their earlier albums, but they still kick ass.

A lot is 4/4 drums (hands) with amazingly syncopated repetitive patterns on guitar/bass/kick.

its when bands start fucking with the time signatures everybar and stuff that things get complicated. Messuggah are not comlex at all. I do love the songs tho, especially "arrid placidity" (think thats the name)
