Slate, if you are reading this... Any plans for version 4 in the near future (2010?) or should I just get the version 3.5?

And to make this thread have longer lifetime than just 1 reply, I would like to ask would it be possible to get the classic cheesy 80's sound to version 4?

I mean along these lines:

The toms of Behemoth - Evangelion *fap**fap**fap* :)

please make more Toms 4 and Toms 5

and as ahjteam said : better cymbals +1

a better interface/GUI as Superior 2.0

they should make gogs of the new Hybrid kits

Some TRUTH / SPAUN kits

requests:
-get rid of this NI kontakt player crap! if you guys can progream awesome mastering DSP effects then a good drum sample player should be not a big problem i guess;)

-less drumkits, more velocity layers! some kits/kitpieces sound very similar to me, so i think there is no need for 2305 different kits.
more velocity layers again should be the main focus of SSD4

-leave out the signature stuff. i bought SSD because i wanted to have the black album kick and snare...haven't used it once.

cheers

Definitely want better cymbals and more variety for the toms.... more toms that work for metal, and all with atleast 4 toms, please! It sucks only having 3 toms when the music uses 4. A lot of time I'd like to use the Maple toms, but need 4 of them so I can't... I've tried pitch shifting one to add a 4th but it doesn't work out as well...

Yeah, I couldn't care less about the signature kit stuff either... I just want good kits that work for different kinds of music, but I guess the whole signature thing is about drawing extra attention for sales...

I can deal with the Kontakt player. It's not that bad. Native Instruments Service Center is a total piece of shit though.

most important.....
please don't fuck with the labeling of the files....
when I upgraded to 3.5 all the old (and completely different and often better sounding) files got overwritten...
also is it very confusing when the old snare 15 is now snare 22 etc....
tweaking sounds etc is cool, but just giving a snare a different number is very confusing sometimes.

and we need a King's X Dogman kit ;)
...also some In Flames-ish stuff please

most underrated request, but most important to me:

fix the gog's, some room samples are from other files
(the mix up with the room samples 12 / 12a / never snare)

more stuff i wish was better:
the talk back / voice at the end of samples (in some situations, this actually becomes audible)
and the naming of things being weird with some of the samples
and fixing the kick rooms (sample start cut off)
and fixing the actual .wav files from being different to the gog files containing the same samples (supposedly) (see snare 10, or 12)

+1 to all these

- if possible, no Kontakt player : dunno for everybody else, but it's quite buggy sometimes. It will work but when I'm rendering the project it will stop the samples brutally, especially on cymbals, needing me to render the tracks, and edit them to remplace the odd hits that cuts for no reason. It happens sometimes, on quite big projects but there is no real rule for that
- I would say keep the licensing sounds, or at least continue to give them special names. I find it more convenient to read a name instead of "snare 12". It's easier to have an idea of the sound with its name.
