Still Life is my least favourite too, but it has too many excellent songs to be hated. The Moor is actually one of the best songs I've ever heard. I think Still Life is the most demanding of Opeth's albums, since it has the largest contrast between heavy and mellow parts. That's why it demands very dedicated listening to get into it and my work on that is nowhere near complete. I believe your case is the same.
