Been a while since "Modus Vivendi" so the "newness" has worn off, but I still jam on Tad Morose. If anyone here hasn't heard them, I strongly suggest picking them up. I can even give a link to a free mp3 by them if anyone is interested. Awesome band !!

I have "Matters of the Dark." It's rather average, but fun to listen to.

Modus Vivendi is pretty damn good from what I've heard. They're a great band.

Everyone is different. Tad Morose is Godly to me, but one thing I will say is to try "Undead" and "Modus Vivendi" because though there are similarities, they are very diffetrent.

Hey, what about the one before "Undead"? I've heard rather good things about it, that it's very underrated, etc. etc.

EDIT: "A Mended Rhyme"! That's what it's called. I've heard it's actually their best from a few people.

No Mercy and Anubis has floored me. I listened to these guys, earlier works, but this just slays me. No Mercy, NO, NO... Hell yeah!!:headbang: :headbang:

I LOVE Tad Morose From "Leaving the Past Behind" to "Modus...." The only one I dont care much for is Sender of thoughts ... its a bit boring hahaha "A Mended Rhyme" is Fucking AWSOME!!! .... and ofcourse Modus rules but the shit before it is cool too and Leaving the past behind is excellent if you are in that Tony Martin Black Sabbath kind of mood ..."WAY OF HISTORY" is the Best TM Song Ever!

They are "okay" in my book, kinda average sounding to me, but if they keep evolving, they could develop their own identity...

See, that's what I've heard about "A Mended Rhyme." That the album WAS a different, unique identity for the band. Still need Bryant's say on it, since he's the Tad Morose guy. :p

I prefer the Daniel (guitarist) era which is "Undead," "Matters of the Dark," and "Modus Vivendi." "A Mended Rhyme" marks the arrival of their current vocalist Urban Breed, but as opposed to "Undead" and later that has twin guitar, it features one guitarist and one keyboardist. It's not bad per se' but it sounds like a totally different band than Undead onward.

Yup. That's pretty much where I cut it off too. They were a little more proggy before Undead. I can listen to any of the latter three at any time. And I still like Unwelcome Guest better than Mother Shipton's Words.

The early stuff is alot more rooted in 80's black sabbath particulary Tony Martin Era ... even now they still retain some of that sound ... now I personally feel the first 4 releases are slightly bland at points BUT They all have moments where they shine espicially on Leaving the Past behind and Mended Rhyme .. That Riff on Way of History wow damn I have loved it since I first heard it in 1993!!! with that said I love the new stuff too and think they sound great with the twin guitar attack it adds alot more Power! and the couple of songs they did with Morgana Lefays singer are AWSOME!!!!! .... everything they have done is great! I am just wondering if they will beable to top a masterpiece like Modus

Oh cool! I'll have to listen to them again from that point of view. Tony Martin Sab is my second favorite version -- RJD being first.

I'm wondering too. The anticipation is half the fun, ain't it? I'm really looking forward to it.

Yeah Krunt is a big Sabbath fan he pretty much says so in the sleeve of the first album ... Those are my 2 favorite Sabbath Eras too ... thats not to say the oooold stuff with Ozzy is bad I am just to young for it I guess I find it boring as hell :loco: .... anyways The anticipation is Killer! and if they top Modus I will piss myself hahaha thats such a great album!!!
