Hey...I am fairly new to Opeth and I had a question about the album Still Life. I bought it a few weeks ago after being blown away by Blackwater Park. But I wanted to make sure the track Serenity Painted Death was supposed to cut off like it does...its ending is rather abrupt. I'm sure if I actually read the lyrics on that one (when I have time I will) I might know the answer but...i just wanted to make sure its not just my copy.

i dont get why he says everyone hates that part. i love that part, its really fucked and unpredictable. it makes you think for a while about whether they did it on purpose or not, then you realize its opeth and they do wicked stuff like that
well, they did it again with closure, so I was always curious whether or not they did it on purpose with Serenity. The part in Serenity is so good that i wish they didnt end it like that, as opposed to closure which is both ironic and works awesomely going into Hope Leaves.
