Stoner/Retro Metal

[Set Abominae]

So I need a few recommendations on Stoner/Retro-style metal. I'm usually not a huge fan but I've found some that I like as of late. However, both bands that I like are flawed. One band is rather obvious - Down. I love Phil's vocals but I find most of the music bland and uninspired. The other band is Spiritual Beggars. I got into these guys because I'm am Opeth nut (yep, one of those) and Opeth's keyboardist, Per Wiberg plays for for Spiritual Beggers. Anyhow, I love the their music but I find their vocals kind of tame. Somewhere along the line I've seen Fireball Ministry in concert and they were less than impressive. So there where I'm at. I would love some stoner or retro metal that doesn't dip too much into doom/sludge.

You might also dig Firebird (similar to Spiritual Beggars - a little more hard rock influenced - think Cream). Formed by Bill Steer following the dissolution of Carcass.
