There's not been much talk about old metal around here for a while so here's a thread.

Anyone else pick up the first 3 Stormwitch albums that were just reissued on Battle Cry Records (used to be Iron Glory)?

WALPURGIS NIGHT (1984)
TALES OF TERROR (1985)
STRONGER THAN HEAVEN (1986)

Battle cry did a very nice job on these reissues, cool liner notes and pics. I'd only heard of this band before but had never heard them. They have a Maiden thing going on but well worth checking out.

Are their later albums worth checking out?

Hmmm...there's Priest Of Evil which is a Best Of album. That's the only one I have. Doesn't grab me spectacularly.

don't even give the new album a try. but as far as their old works go: magnifiscent! i saw them on the last KIT and they were amazing. walpurgis night kicks ass, espeically 'priest of evil' and' skulls and crossbones'. those reissues, are they on vinyl aswell? the origionals cost a whole lot...

No just on disc.... as far as I know.
Battle Cry bought the rights to all of the old albums that came out in the 80's on the German label Gama, so there should be some more cool stuff coming soon.
