say what you will about them, but theyve continuall written solid albumns, spawning 5 complete discs, plus 2 sol albumns. AND having mr. weiland on vox. i my opinion is the best male vocalist ever. they refue to conform theyre style to it"nu"metal.

The song Still remains is a perfect example of how great they really are. and i might get flamed for mentioning them, but theyre a more solid band than half the craptastic excuses for metal out there now

stone temple pilots

Scott weiland is far from greatest vocalist

in my opinion
they are just another decent grunge/hard rock band

their first two are great albums, after that i lost interest.....

Thanks for that, Zombie Eater.

Stone Temple Pilots are pretty talented boys, but The Pimp has never been a die hard fan.
But I's do love their song Big Empty (the one found on The Crow soundtrack) and most of the songs off their Purple album.
Pity what happened to Scott and his heroin addiction fucking up the rest of the band and a very promising career. But he's back now and the future looks very interesting, indeed.
Peace

I haven't ever listened to Stone Temple Pilots, so I can't say anything about them. But now I think that I will check them out. I just have one complaint for you deathstrike, and that is your location. Could you maybe just change it to ultimate metal message boards, or something, because it is a little strange and sometimes annoying. But that is just a minor complaint, and your post was pretty good, I'd give it a 3/5.........damn it, I've been reading way too many reviews. Anyway, I will check out Stone Temple Pilots. And I may return with my opinion and I may not.

Every thing STP has done has been great.

ANd Scot going to jail didnt hurt the band MR 3RD person up there (not bo lordy). WHen he went to jail, he recorded his super cool solo albim, 12 bar blues.

Great band.

Never thought I would see that name on this board haha

I played in a STP tribute band for a few years. I really didn't like them at first but after having to learn all the tunes,I started to realize the songwriting was actually quite good .The song structure's are sort of like 70's progresive music...
like playing cool chords like eg. C#7/B to A#m7b5 (almost evil sounding haha)

LOM download "Piece Of Pie" or "Dead & Bloated"

5. weiland, does have one of the best voices in music today. incredibley wicked range

8. weiland is working on a new solo albumn that will hit stores sometime in june

anywho, thats my rant on stp. a totally kickass band that totally changed my life

I liked Core and Purlple, but lost interest in the latter ones. They seems to have lost a lot of their edges (don't get defensive, I'm not saying they suck, just that I lost interest with it).

I will try the solo album out. 12 bar blues...lol, what else would you play in prison?
