Stryper is back after 10 years!

Amen, Smylex! The Holy Bible is literature, NOT a historical document. Historians and scholars have agreed on this for years. There were almost 100 gospels written on the life of Jesus Christ, of which only 4 appear in the bible. This is NOT the word of God, only the word of man, written and compiled by councils and governments over hundreds of years. The Crusades washed over Europe on a wave of blood, fire and death in the name of Jesus Christ and all you Christians now attend the churches and believe in the theologies they set up as a result. This is hardly spirituality to me. I myself was a born again Christian until I saw a videotape of a bunch of Christians LED by Christians shoot fire into a compound in Waco, killing over 80 men, women and children also claiming to be Christians. Believe me, when you get back to the true spirit and explore THAT, you realize Satan is no more real than Bugs Bunny, Hell is no more real than Mordor, and that God has already forgiven us no matter what we do, say or believe. In other words, pass the beer, crank those killer tunes and let's just get back to enjoying God's (or whatever you want to call it) gift to us all:

Pornography.

Hahahahaha

That and LIFE. Let's enjoy that without the fear and guilt put on us by our fellow man. I think Ghandi said it best when he said, "Christianity is a good idea. It's too bad it hasn't been tried..."

i challenge you on the" I WAS A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN COMMENT" a born again christian would have whats called BLIND FAITH something that i believe my god requires you to have to enter his kingdom and have your name read through the lambs book of life, it just strikes me odd that a born again child of god would convert because of WACO!?

also, yes the bible has been re- written and twisted. i was tought through the King James bible since a child, heres my outlook for you pleasure.
I was told that if you believe that Jesus Christ was the son of god,and that who so ever believe in him, not parish, but have ever lasting life.....so, i believe , i cry to this day thinking of a man dragging a cross as people spit on him, you dont have to ,but i do, and if your scientists are right and im wrong....then im just dead and wrong....if my god is right....then that makes you dead and damned to life in torment.......does'nt sound like good odds to me.

i have heard alot of people speak this way because they were hurt bad and blame god, they see things that make them believe there is no god, they thought that if you lead a christian life or try too, that nothing bad could happen to you, wrong! a christian life is hard, you dont have alot of friends because people think your weird or a nerd or that you go around trying to make people believe in your god which in a way you kinda do, i dont believe you should born houses and assault another person or shove a book in thier face, but dude if you knew someone was going to get hurt by walking in a room you knew was dangerous, would you tell them? and if you told them and they said "go fuck yourself" and walked in and got hurt or killed would you feel different that you told them? would you not give a shit and say. fuck em i told em! ? or would you feel sad but better knowing you tried to help?

i will pray for you guys because your words disturb me, i fear for your souls and mine. im not a perfect person by no means but the difference between my soul and Knocks and Smleyx is mine has an insurence policy on it......i believe, i hope someday you will to...

up the irons.

And this somehow makes you better than us... :Smug:

"...each regards the way chosen by the others as reprehensible, and to top it all off, religionists actually PRAY for one another! They have scorn for their brothers of the right-hand path because their religions carry different labels, and somehow their animosity must be released. What better way than through "prayer"! What a simperingly polite way of saying: "I hate your guts," is the thinly disguised device known as praying for your enemy! Praying for one's own enemy is nothing more than bargain-basement anger, and of a decidedly shoddy and inferior quality!" --Anton Szandor LaVey, The Satanic Bible

Hmmm, doesn't sound like it has anything to do with faith. Sounds like BLIND FEAR to me. No thanks.

im no better then you dude, your not my enemy either, you've done nothing to me , i pray for your soul because i believe your in danger, thats all. You can read from your satanic bible all you want, you can not believe in my god too, i wont hassle you or try and make you believe, its cool.
im far from polite to people who i call true enemies, if i hated your guts id tell you, i think your a funny guy and would be cool to talk shop with and hang out, i find our humor is on the same page, we just have different gods....im not attacking you or others like you, i gave my opinion and it seems you are the one angry at me or hate felt towards my views and you can if you wish but i dont feel the same about you or anybody else with your beliefs.
in fact my SGT. feels the same way you do but not so much on the Satanic tip, i spend alot of time around him and he thinks im crazy for what i believe in and i think his soul is in danger....next, turn the page. we have different beliefs thats all dont cofuse that.

Perhaps I was a bit extreme, but this is how I usually feel whenever anyone says that they will "pray" for me. I don't want to hear it. Period.

all religions r traditions of man and that is dangerous. Christianity is a way of life not a religion. its reality if u realize its not religion.

ur on ur own Smylex........dont worry cause if u dont want to hear it thats ur choice.

Shadow walker........as for blind faith.....God does not want us to follow blindly......that will only lead u to the antichrist when he apears as God. God wants us to check all that come in his name to see if they r for real....that is not blind faith.

i think this subject should be dropped!!

I see these bumper stickers every once in a while that say "let go...let God" and I couldn't agree more. Let go of the fear, let go of all the books, let go of all the ideologies and insecurities and let God do what he will. He does anyway. We're all God's creations and there's simply nothing we can ever do to change that. Unfortunately for most fundamentalist Christians and Catholics and all of the little splinter groups of these religions, God seems to be viewed in an almost abusive paternal way. Waco simply had me hitting the books, including the Bible, again and it hit me hard how mankind has distorted true spiritual peace. I find it odd that a God who is supposed to be a being or force with such unlimited and unconditional love for his creations would have such a moral, political and financial agenda for his followers. I don't think God hates us any more than he answers prayers. God loves us unconditionally, it's HUMANKIND that doesn't know how to do that. The idea that God would forgive those responsible for something like 9-11 as quickly as he would a devout Christian is simply inconceivable to us. All religions are "ways of life" and all work from the same basic principles and formats: ideologies based on the word of man. What I get most often from the religious-minded is that the Bible was "inspired" by God. I myself feel inspired by God. Does this mean that my words are more or less valid than those found in the Bible or whatever book your religion is based on? No. If Christianity gives you true spiritual peace, then go with that. The only thing Christianity gave me was the constant fear that I might not be living up to God's expectations. The love I felt for God had to be filtered through that. When I let all that shit go, there he was in all his glory, healing me on every level and the fear was gone. I believe there was a man we now call Jesus Christ who was a healer, a teacher, and a spiritual leader who told who he could that they didn't need churches or governments to feel God's love and people started to listen. Of course, the churches and governments of the time couldn't have their "ways of life" threatened by what this man was teaching, so they did what churches and governments have been doing to the "subversives" since they established themselves: they got rid of him. Am I the only one who finds it interesting that the roots of Christianity and Catholicism can all be traced back to the Roman Empire?

It may sound like I have a personal vendetta against Christians or that I don't like it when they tell me my soul is in trouble. I don't. In fact, most of the religious-minded people I've come across have been some of the finest individuals it's been my pleasure to know. It's the religion itself I have a problem with. I've seen good people practically torture themselves to death inside trying to live up to the ideological expectations of their church. My heart truly goes out to them all, because this kind of fear is simply superfluous. God's true gift to us is life, so pick your religion, pick your God, and have a lot of fun. Although I don't believe in them, I appreciate your prayers, so thank you. I only pray for one thing anymore, the same thing Maynard from Tool prays for in the song "Anaema":

Rain. Lots and lots of it....
