Does your neck hurt?
Mine did...
SO
What you need is a circular saw and a drill.

Take the top shelf off
Take off the support struts/rack
Draw a straight line from 3 inches up from the bottom on the angled side (formally the front) or, just grab the rack bits.
Move them to the TOP of the Straight side (formally the back)
Then just draw a line from there to the other side.
SAW
Now put the support struts on BACKWARDS so the angle is at the back.
Drill into them from the bottom.
Put screws back in
Bob's your uncle.
Your Screen is now 3 inches lower AND you still have all the rack space
For example...
not in proper situ, but heres what it does

I don't know what is stranger: The fact that James Murphy's room is the fifth picture when you google "Studio RTA Creation Station" or that I know that it's JM's room. :D

I just took the shelf off altogether, relocated my rack equipment to the lower rack shelves and mounted the monitors directly on top of shelf uprights/CD racks, and now the CPU monitor sits between them at desk height. Way the F' better. I could probably fab some shelves up to properly set them one. One of these days.

thats the producer station matey

I have had mine almost 2 weeks now and no neck pains at all. I have been on it 6 to 8 hours a day every day since I got it.

All i did was lower my seat so that my armrests on the chair sit flush with the top of the desk, and set up monitors at a downward angle so I could see them. No issues here at all.

yeah.. this isn't all my gear BTW. hence..no interface, computer and behringer in the rack etc etc

I'll modify my creation station too... not because of neck pain, but because my future control room window will be lower and the screens will be in the way. I'll take off the shelf and mount a dual monitor arm in the middle. Rawk.

I have perhaps the worlds tallest monitor
ADC Cinema display. and it only leans backwards....BALLS

Almost did the same to my Producers Station, ended up just taking the shelf off entirely. Kinda miss the rackspace sometimes... will have to give this a shot!

One thing I really fucking hated before, which this would fix (because I'd get new rack rails), is how the rack space isn't a true 6-space bit; it's literally impossible to fit 6 spaces of rack gear in it, since it only has holes for 5 1/2 spaces, and the holes are never aligned well enough to fit that many pieces of gear together and still be able to screw them all in.
