sucks to your ass-mar!

i'll keep it short:

PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY - Oscar Wilde
BRAVE NEW WORLD - Aldous Huxley
A CLOCKWORK ORANGE - Anthony Burgess
INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE - Anne Rice
THE FOUNTAINHEAD - Ayn Rand
CATCH-22 - Joseph Heller
THE STAND - Stephen King

short, diverse list - all books here are pure classic

catch 22 is about hypocrisy! ha ha ha
That was lame.

what is this ass-mar stuff? i recognize it. was is mentioned somewhere in the thread cause i think i missed it.

i "read" 1984. it was pretty good. excellent vision of the future....freakish. that rat mask thing ruled all. i loved the ending of the book. very abrupt and on a down note so it was great by default for the down note.

yes, school generally rapes books. i mean always. if i have to read a book for whatever reason, the book will be lees good and the reading of it will be forever tainted because i have to. thats why there is not great reading of a book in high school. most of the books eat cock though anyway. i wanna read what i wanna read, but they never let me! they have a fat ass list of shitty classic books and i don't wanna fucking read those! but when i suggest a regular book(nothing freeakish as hell and unsuitable for school) that i could read like something by John Grisham, they say no. you know why? cause they're fuck faces. all of them!!

NR: John Grisham- A Painted House

Catch-22 is the funniest fucking book ever! Seriously, you will laugh your ass off while reading it! It also has some very dark undertones, however. It is basically a satire on war, bureaucracy, and many ideals that were popular, yet unquestioned, at the time (WW2).
