Suprised?

If Anthrax is added...they'll be an opener...

...someone from Anthrax's management - perhaps 6er - should call Rod Smallwood...and ask yet another support slot...

Surely Testament would open, then Anthrax, then Slayer / Megadeth rotate to close?

Why would Testament open...? They have very strong album under their belt... and they have a reputation as a solid performer.

Whereas Anthrax have NOT put anything decent out in ages...and it is NOT certain who is going to sing for them in the Autumn...:)

Because Anthrax have always been and still are a bigger and more popular band than Testament. Simple. It doesn't mean diddly shit that they haven't put anything out in ages when it comes to putting a line-up together. As for the singer thing....again it makes no difference to a line-up for a tour.

Wut? LOL

It’s heartbreaking to see the Bushbabies suffer so profoundly, but I take comfort in knowing that, as the Bushbabies mature through the next album and tour cycle, they will come to know that Joey was The Man all along.

You are certainly deluded. If Joey was the "man" why didn't Scott call HIM after the Nelson debacle? Answer: because he wanted John Bush, the BEST singer he's ever worked with. Think about it. This is a FACT. Something you should aquaint yourself with. (I came back to edit the salient points so hopefully it would impact your feeble gray matter! But somehow I doubt it will!)

Yeah...usually it is the drummer that decides the tempo... but I remember Charlie being very favourable for John after POT tour...and after reunion tour...

Anyway...I'm not sure that Anthrax is more popular than Testament...at least at the moment...NOT anymore... sad fact is that this is not 1987 anymore!

Both Slayer and Megadeth have released excellent albums recently, but Testament is really at the top of their game right now! "The Formation of Damnation" is an instant classic and they are definitely (in my book, anyways) THE top thrash metal act out there right now ... So, yeah ... Anthrax should join the tour and be the opening act.

I think the new testament is boring and too polished, I preferred "Low" and "The Gathering" and of course the first two albums. I'd think ANTHRAX in the classic line up is still bigger though. Actually Megadeth isn;t THAT big here in europe, maybe slightly bigger than ANTHRAX. Slayer is by far the biggest without question, but I think they new album is rather disappointing....

You are every bit as annoying as you accuse 6er to be....

I'm just a realistic....sorry that it annoys you.

I don't know where you are from but Mustaine - I mean Megadeth - is quite big in Finland - headliner at this year's Tuska Open Air... which is in my opinion the biggest metal festival in Finland - yes, despite Sonisphere.

I have no idea where you live in europe, but it must be a whole different universe. Megadeth are HUGE, at least here in germany. They filled the Westfalenhalle and i believe they did a big stadium tour in europe a few years ago. Slayer didn't even fill such big venues on that Unholy Alliance Tour.

The only thing I disliked about WPB was Greg Fidelman's mix. He made the rhythm guitars, which usually have a suspenseful edge, sound like distant queafing. That dude is singlehandedly trying to kill the metal revival.

True. He also made Death Magnetic sound like my speakers are broken. Someone should take away his mixing equipment...

I saw Megadeth play in the Melkweg club in Amsterdam which holds about 1.200. They will play the 013 club in Tilburg (approx. 2000) and Hof ter Loo in Antwerpen (B) which will also be around the 2000 mark. The time they filled HUGE halls has been.

Maybe they played larger places on the priest feast tour last year, ok, but that was because they played with Priest and Testament....and even those dates weren't sooo succesful. I was at the Amsterdam gig in the Heineken Music hall which holds 5.500 people and there might have been 3.500.

Hm, i don't know how they did it, i saw them twice in small clubs (System Has Failed and United Abominations tours) and a year later they played in a stadium in front of 10.000 people as headliner.

Yeah...but nowadays Holland especially Tilburg's 013 is 'bout prog ...do you still have Dynamo?

Well, as someone already pointed out; I guess it depends on where in Europe you live. I think Megadeth is much larger in Scandinavia at least ... And when it comes to Testament, I guess I'm not your average fan: My three favourite albums are Demonic, The Gathering and Formation ... :headbang:(and I DO think Testament are bigger right now; they've got better "new" music out at the moment and they've got better live shows than any of the other "big three" - I haven't seen Anthrax live since 2005, so I don't know what shape they're in)

I agree. I am not an avid Testament fan but I know enough of their history and I gotta lot of respect for them but lets face facts.

Anthrax is 1 part of the big 4. Period. That says it all.
