I wanted to register here, because I just had to tell you how much I love their stuff. :worship: And sorry, this is a long post but I want to share this with you.

Only a short while ago I heard a couple of Nightingale albums, and liked them so much I started collecting information about the Swanö brothers (and their albums). Well, in short, you got yourself a new fan.

It's amazing how two brothers can be so gifted musicians (play so well so many instruments), able to make so diverse music (different styles), have so good singing voices and be able to write so beautiful melodies that you want to cry.

So far I have 5 Nightingale albums, also I have downloaded Dag's songs from his site(s) and also the Unicorn demos.

Scarred for Life was the first song I heard and I was instantly hooked. Brilliant!

My other biggest favourites so far are:
Nightingale: The Dreamreader (from The Breathing Shadows)
Dag: Maneter - Jellyfishes and Inte som andra barn (from Dag's site)
Unicorn: The Czarina of Vermillion (demo)

But in fact they are all great, I haven't heard a bad song yet. I've liked them all.

So, Thank You Dag and Dan for making so wonderful music. I fear I'm not very good at expressing myself, but I hope you get my meaning. In any case, I have the utmost respect for you two. :worship:

PS. the Dag album that includes Maneter? Can you buy it anywhere? Or his other albums?

I've been huge on Dan Material for a long time now, especially EOS and Moontower, but it wasn't until I started to see what Dan was up to these days that I discovered Dag.

When it comes to swedish brothers in music, those two reign supreme, even better than the Amott boys. (had to edit that woops, was thinking too much Carcass)

Thanks for the welcomes! A nice bunch of people you are. :)

And yes, I must write to Dag and ask him if he still has the albums. I couldn't find them in any of the internet cd shops I tried.

Now, if only Dag also had the Unicorn albums... :loco:

I don't particularly care for the death metal stuff... I'm a total sucker for great melodies. If I hear a good enough melody, I'll start crying. Like The Dreamreader.

And Maneter-Jellyfishes... I could listen to it all day long. What a wonderful song, so nice, beautiful... extremely catchy.

What are your favourites? It would be nice to know.

Hello !

Glad you like our music. Most of the songs i have on my page is on albums but in older ( inferior ) versions. I have a habit of re-recording stuff
If you want the newer versions just let me know and i burn them on a CD for
you

I started everything with listening to Bloodbath, then I see that Dan Swanö plays in it... who the fuck is it?... after that i searched for him on the internet and found lots of things, so i got into Edge of Sanity, and this was cool, after that I got into Swanö brothers :) guys you are awesome and thanks for inspirating me to play good music, you are my main influences! ;)

Bah they´re almost British anyway,Swanö family for the win!

Again, thanks for the warm welcomes. And two of them came from the maestros themselves! Wow :headbang: :worship:

What Unicorn demo song is that quote about the circus from? I haven't listened to all of them yet, at the moment I'm stuck with the Czarina ;)

I also want to thank Swanö brothers because of their great music! Especially Nightingale is a fantastic band and I hope that more stuff is coming and fast!
