good job, just next time if you want to get sharper lines and angles try to use less paint in each layer, it takes longer but the result is sweeter.

thanks for the suggestion, i'll definately try that next time, i'm sure i'll learn a lot about painting at luthiery school too... the lines got a bit messed up from the tape not sticking all over, even though i made sure and pushed down all edges so that wouldn't happen, it still did... i pulled the tape off after the final coat while it was still tacky, so as not to have sharp edges that you could feel as bumps through the clear

the same shit happened to me, and this was my first lesson not using alot of paint... also i found it hell alot easier to get smooth result when you use small grind of paint as apossiblke as almost dust size it drys faster and more even. i used small air compressor for my first job it produced something like 4-5 PSI its a joke, never use shit like that for painting, it is good ONLY for rocky airbrush artist like me... :/
i didnt had the money back than for a real thing

Yeah, it might be a bit overkill. BloodyScalpel's black pearloid logo idea might look cool.
