SW's new video "Inner Enemy" has been released (#10)

As mentioned in the 'New album sticky thread', Andreas wrote a message for us all regarding the new Seventh Wonder video:

"Seventh Wonder fans, we know you have been running on empty for far too long, so it is with great pleasure we finally can release some news. We have recorded a brand new music video for the recently recorded new song entitled “Inner Enemy”.
The track has been recorded in Studio Wonderland and mixed by Øyvind Voldmo Larsen of Withem. Stay tuned as we will release some behind the scene footage during the upcoming week, and the video itself will be launched shortly thereafter.

It has been four years since the video for 'Alley Cat' was shot so it feels great to finally have a new video and a new song for you people out there. We hope this will satisfy the most immediate needs and keep you alive up to the live recording of Mercy Falls. We also have some more news coming later this fall and obviously exciting plans for the next album.

In the meantime here is a first little “Hello, we are alive and well” from me and the boys and we can’t wait to show you the video and play you some new stuff!

Is it to early to post our best guesses at the lyrics? Cause there's 4 words I'm unsure of in the version I made myself to support my horrible habit of singing along. (To the chagrin of everyone else in the house, or living in the same area.)

Anyway, I have to admit, when I first saw the song was just 3:30 I felt disappointed, I don't like short prog metal songs, but after a couple of spins..... WELL IT'S WAY BEYOND MAGIC JUST THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.

I loved Alley Cat the way it was also, but this new song is a PERFECT PROG METAL HIT-SINGLE. It's fresh, urgent, with great musicianship (of course).

And now the hard question is: how many times will we listen to it before the whole album is released? damn......

Did you mean an english born buddy as in an actual englishman, or someone specific? Cause I'm Aussie, we sorta speak english, we just shorten every word we can.

Hey, I will listen to nothing but it until the single is released knowing my habits with TGE. I think this is less proggy, but far more catchy. It's a perrfect single, full of energy, a more subdued sound (I think, that will take more comparison to say definitively.) a good meaning behind it, and just all around damn good. Really good. This will sound weird, but if this is the worst song on the album we're gonna be spoiled on release, and if it's simply on par with the rest of the album, we're still freaking spoiled. I like it I want more of it, mostly I want SW to come to Aus, or even just Kamelot to return and bring Tommy back here so I can plan ahead to stay the night in the city and see the last half of their set ><
Just, give me more of something. Anything, please?

Alrighty then, sweet. There are two that I'm really uncertain on "sleaze" and "life on the line" also maybe "road" it sounds a lot like "load" but considering the video I'm putting that one on the compressor messing with things like it has in the past.

Ohhh lyrics already! This is great. I was just wondering if I should give it a try and write down what I understand...

I LOVE the song and the video!! At first I wasn't so sure yesterday. For some reason it always takes a few spins for me to really fall in love. So after five spins I was slightly disappointed. It sounded kind of all over the place for me. Another five spins later I was madly in love. And the video enhances the whole experience even more. LOVE the outfits - I think when bands to be different so this is a huge plus. And the video itself is great - the fast cuts, the different layers (story/band). Makes you want to watch it over and over again.

Okay, now let me try the lyrics! I will correct the parts I understood differently and mark them in red.

I did understand 'road' and 'life on the line' I heard 100%. I'm not sure about 'fade beyond (the road)' and that 'sleaze' thing is a real mystery to me. I actually understand 'to sneeze'. Haha! I hope somebody else understands more.
