Symphony X Anyone?

I also saw Symphony X in Brooklyn. It was my third time seeing them and it was my favorite show so far. That are absolutely amazing live and they perform their songs perfectly. They have tons of energy on stage and you can tell that they are really having a great time. They even played The Divine Wings of Tragedy(the song) in it's entirety. I don't understand how anyone can say that Russel Allen sucks. IMO he is the single best singer(non growler) in all of metal. He is amazing live, he sounds even better than he does on the cds and hits every note perfectly. I hung out outside the venue after the show and got to meet all of the band members and get pictures with them. They are all real cool guys and like talking to their fans. If you ever have the chance to see them live make sure you don't miss it.

It was the Brooklyn show I attended...I just about died when they played Divine Wings (for those unfamiliar with the band, it is a mindblowing 21-minute epic) with inhuman precision. In fact, my custom title used to be The Wrath Devine, after a section of the song. Live album due out this fall.

I like Symphony X because I like classical music, and they are amazing at turning classical music into metal... I wouldn't classify them as power metal though, they are more progressive and neoclassical. The only thing that I dislike is Romeo's style of playing it's a bit too flashy.
