This is a thread that I am watching with interest. Based on the results so far (80ish% positive), I am assuming the ones that bitched about Evergrey returning last time haven't voted yet.

Glenn

Didn't bitch then, and wouldn't bitch now. I still vote no. I'd rather see someone new headlining rather than yet another 4th appearance from any band.

I didn't vote because I think there should be an option for people like me who are fairly ambivalent. I would indeed love it if SX were headliners. On the other hand, I won't be disappointed if they're not. I've already had plenty of exposure to them.

There are many who haven't. Like me. I saw them for 20 minutes on Gigantour (NJ). and my friends (all of them) havne't seen them at all. if they came to progpower this year it would be a HUGE factor for them to want to save money and buy tickets. and have the experience of a lifetime.

Big Hell yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Symphony X and Redemption? That's all I need.

How many of you that voted yes thought about the possiblity of SX doing a full U.S. tour early next year?
I voted YES, knowing FULL WELL they'll be touring. If you could arrange a very special setlist or possibly the orchestral idea (which I know they've wanted to do for some time), it would be a performance NO ONE would want to miss, even If I do see them 4 times on their headlining tour.

I voted yes with knowing that possibility Glenn. Only because when Therion played progpower they stopped for us first. then unravelled thier U.S. tour. couldn't SX do that for you? and most definitly for progpower?

I have never seen Sym X, so I'd love to see them. However, I do think there should be a new album first. There hasn't been a new album since the last Progpower they played.

i didnt know about this possible tour but i will still vote yes because you can never get too much of symx IMO

I love them and would never turn down a chance to see them again so I'd be thrilled if they were playing at 8, but I can think of a few other bands I'd rather see headline that have never played PP before.

How cute, I was going to write the SAME thing, BUT I got lazy... so, thanks for writing it so I could quote you :P

This is one of the bands that helped put PP on the map. They haven't played for years now. With a new album out I think they are a must!!!

I think you said that perfectly.

If they were going to do a full US tour I think there are ample opportunities for them to do somthing special for PP. An orchestra is obviously an option, and with any band that has good orchestration always sounds awesome. But with the mention of Nevermore doing a Dreaming Neon Black set last year (before the whole mess), springs the idea of having Symphony X doing all of V perhaps?

Plus with any band with such an extensive roster of amazing songs - I love that PP headliner really gives them a TON of time to play all the songs you wouldn't get to hear on a regular slot.
