well the audience wouldn't hear it of course . Its really common. Ever see a drummer wear headphones on stage? What do you think he's listening to, his ipod?

I am really bummed that they didn't add the choir part to the "Bird-Serpent War" after the 2nd verse. Can't Pinnella just load up a choir patch instead of the the strings he used?

Have any of you guys ever tried to do backup vocals during a LOUD metal concert? There's a good chance you can't hear yourself, and that makes it damn hard to be on key. So when they fluctuate a little bit on "Live on the Edge of Forever," keep that in mind. As for the choir samples... I don't mind their absence at SX concerts.

but wouldn't it add to the performance of the actual songs with the actual choir samples? I mean the choir part pulls me in with the heavy dynamics.
